BACKGROUND The Lisle Windrunners running club was established in 1985 to serve regular runners in the western suburbs of Chicago. Our mission is to promote a lifetime of fitness with a level of competition when desired. Currently, there are 50+ individual members, both men and women with ages ranging from 25 to 75. The club sponsors regular training runs, a racing circuit, one 10K race, monthly meetings, an annual awards & predictor breakfast, and relay teams for the annual River-to-River relay race in southern Illinois. Many of our members also compete in other circuits (CARA and Fox River mainly) with race distances ranging from 5K to marathons. IN MEMORIAM - John O. Quinton 1937 - 2012 John served 25 years each in the Lisle Windrunnerts and CARA. He was a leader and an officer in the Windrunners club all 25 years, an initial member in the CARA Hall of Fame and a respected ambassador for running his whole adult life. John always gave solid advice when needed with a keen sense of humor and a universal respect for everybody he came in contact with. We will miss him.
