BACKGROUND The Lisle Windrunners running club was established in 1985 to serve regular runners in the western suburbs of Chicago. Our mission is to promote a lifetime of fitness and competition. Currently, there are 50+ individual members, both men and women with ages ranging from 20 to 75. The club sponsors regular training runs, a racing circuit, one 10K race, monthly meetings, an annual awards brunch, an annual predictor breakfast and relay teams for the annual River-to-River relay race in southern Illinois. Many of our members also compete in other circuits (CARA and Fox River mainly) with race distances ranging from 5K to marathons. Printable application to join the club. Once again we will have 5 male awards and 3 female awards to match our club's gender proportion. 2. Windrunner 10K. Our own, very successful, Windrunner 10K was completed on August 30 with 386 registrations and 344 finishers. Perfect weather, perfect scheduling and perfect operation thanks to 32 Windrunner (and 3 future Windrunner) volunteers. See information at Windrunner 10K and total results at cararuns.org, races, results. 3. Saturday Training Course. The Saturday group run is located at our summer site - the main entrance of Herrick Lake at 8:00 AM.
